Ben White

Southgate not denying it will add fuel to the fire, if he came out and said it was tabloid nonsense the majority of fans would have accepted that. Instead he kind of dodged the question querying the use use of alleged and saying they weren’t confident in the accusation without saying it’s b0llocks. I expect he was trying to be clever and not get into the debate or give any more publicity or weight to the claim but for me if it’s a lie he should have just said as much.

Does the media talk make any difference? He’s gone home and out of the squad.. the players will be just getting on with it.

I'm trying to work out if this reply is pompous or Dunning - Kruger Syndrome
It's honest and more informed than you, some people just don't like that.

It would seem your stance is like his, that you don't believe that culture is something that exists at a football club and influences success. Tell me Tiler, what experience and expertise have you gathered on organisation culture, by sticking bits of ceramic material to floors and walls? I'll never claim you are being pompous by telling someone they are using the wrong grout if that's your expertise. This country befuddles me these days, people reveling in ignorance and loudly and proudly rejecting people with more knowledge and experience. Hey-ho, you don't want to learn anything new, that's your loss and the very definition of DKS.

“Ben White's exit from England’s World Cup squad was due to a disagreement with assistant manager Steve Holland.

The player was already unhappy in camp after struggling to mix in with his teammates and the bust-up was the final straw”
According to The Star IIRC, if not it was one of the red tops.

I'll file under "bullchite" until a reliable outlet corroborates it!

Pompous it is then, thanks for clearing that up 👍
Lazy brained, arrogant Duning-Kruger sufferer, cheers for clearing that up. It's the easiest thing int he world to dimiss other peoples experiences and knowledge, but it isn't a fruitful way of living and learning.

You’re not allowed an opinion, you just stick stuff to walls
He's allowed an opinion, but some people have more relevent expertise than him, it's his choice not to listen, to revel in his ignorance of a subject, but it's no way to expand your knowledge about the world. It's this country in a nutshell really, sod the experts lets just listen to loud people instead 🤷‍♂️ 🤦‍♂️

Rewind the conversation, I said that buying into culture was important, he took umbridge with that. Is my opinion not relevant? Am I supposed to be quiet because it upsets him?

This is a messageboard, I've asked for this anti-culture stance to be justified, nobody has been able to, that's fine, it just makes that stance look silly.

It’s a shame some posters have to resort to such an embarrassing level of patronisation, just to “win” an argument about the importance of team morale or something.

“Tell me Tiler, what experience and expertise have you gathered on organisation culture, by sticking bits of ceramic material to floors and walls?”

You should be ashamed of yourself for that sentence alone. It’s a shame, as you talk some sense on football sometimes. Albeit it comes across as coaching manual stuff, rather than having actually played the game
