Be interesting what happens to hoppe now

I'm sure Leo will go for the obvious picks, he's only holding the reigns for one, maybe two games, it wouldn't be clever to start ruffling feathers ahead of the new man arriving.

Yeah maybe and I wouldn't be averse to it. It just seems like Ford's may complement Muniz better

Ahh Connolly yes, Comes on half way through the game. Thinks because of his lack of height he can maybe trick the player by running through his legs. Doesn't work. He drops down, holds his arms out as if to say foul ref!

Referee tells him to get on with the game. His next touch of the ball and only shot at goal is outside of the box. He misses miserably but puts his arms on his head as if to say 'That was a close miss'. Full time whistle blows and he walks off. The End.
 
Don't know if anyone watched the old 1970s football match last night between Liverpool and Coventry City in the old first division? ( now the Premier League) Kenny Dalglish got the ball and in a tussle with the Coventry defender they both ended up on the floor. He then managed to kick the ball between the defenders legs and follow through his legs himself with the defender falling to the ground ( no soft referee to blow his whistle like he would now) retrieving the ball and taking it forward. Unbelievable.

The pitch was like a farmers field, if someone was injured they got straight back up and either punched the opponent or just got on with the game, and the crowd was 99.9% men. How times have changed.
 
For either Hoppe or Forss to get game time now, they would have to prove they were better than Muniz (unlikely), Akpom and Watmore (possible but unlikely). They were both weird signings as they are unlikely to develop much just from training and reserve games, and unlikely to play much first team football due to those currently ahead of them. Just another example of the dysfunctionality of our recruitment. Personally I think they were bought for next season, when Muniz, Akpom and Watmore are likely not to be here.
