Incredible story of Wilf Franks - he lived near the Linny - but in an incredible life he studied at the Bauhaus and left as the Nazis started their rise to power. He worked Michael Tippett to bring music and relief to East Cleveland unemployed miners and then inspired him to create some of the most iconic classical music in the 20th century. Wilf was arrested in the Cable Street Riots. He talked to artists, writers, poets. He was a dancer, a designer, a brilliant painter and passed it all on as a teacher - Dan Gilgan tells the story of his grandad on BBC Tees now.
