Panorama investigates events as they unfolded at the 2022 UEFA Champions League final in Paris between Liverpool and Real Madrid to try to understand what went wrong. Drawing on extensive first-hand testimony and mobile phone footage, Panorama pieces together the definitive forensic picture of what took place, examines mistakes made by UEFA and the French authorities, and asks what lessons can be learned for the future of fan safety.

Should be an interesting watch. Available on iPlayer now.

Will they dare point the finger at the masses of fans who were trying to get in without tickets or fakes bought off the black market or will they tip toe round it like usual to avoid the backlash from the scouse nation?

Given that all the French authorities apolgised for the horrendous failings and backtracked on blaming the fans, then I think your conclusion that this is all the fans fault is not right.

I'm not saying its 100% their fault. Far from it. But it is 100% a contributing factor. An investigation should highlight that

A good few on here were all too quick to blame the Liverpool fans.
In this case they have been well and truly vindicated.
Indeed had they not acted with restraint and common sense in the huge crowd congestion generated by the authorities , the result could have been a lot darker.
I imagine that @B_G will be along to apologise any minute now...

Hillsborough
Heysel
Attacking Man City team bus x 3
Throwings coins at Pep
Champs Lge trouble in Paris

Any common denominator ? 🤔

Yes the common denominator is they all involved Liverpool fans, well done have a biscuit.
Anyone capable of thinking in even a vaguely intelligent way, will be able to realise though that they were all entirely different events, involving different people and wildly different circumstances.
Coming to the conclusion that because some Liverpool fans have been guilty of hooliganism, then that automatically means that it must be Liverpool fans who are to blame for a horrendous tragedy like Hillsborough is unbelievably stupid, crass and offensive. Especially as all of the evidence quite clearly shows the opposite.
Ditto the utter farce and near tragedy of this years Champions league final.
