Bands you heard of, never listened to, then blew your mind when you did

Queens of the Stone Age , it was bit more like my mate used to listen to them obsessively and I just closed down to their music because I was tired of listening to them but as a tribute to him( he is gone) I made my mind up to get a ticket and see them in Cardiff last year, they were brilliant, I left the venue wanting more, I might get to try and see them again this year if possible.
They're headlining Download festival I believe! Might be worth a day ticket haha

Currently going through a phase of discovering all of Micheal Heads back catalogue. Was aware of a few Shack songs but not much more.

Absolutely loving it all. A proper genius
Had heard bits and pieces but really got into the last solo album and saw him that year too (excellent). Shack are brilliant too, really timeless band.

Jefferson Airplane.
Spotify played White Rabbit while I was working with some music on in the background. It just grabbed my attention and I've been listening to a lot of 60s and 70s music recently.

Sounds like his new album isn't going to be great too. Loved what I've heard from it so far;
