Equalised 90+6m tonight, after Neymar, Messi and Mbappe managed to create the grand total of one goal between them.

Only 3 points clear now and Lens gaining. PSG dropped 7 points in January since the restart, wonder if that front 3 just aren’t fancying it after the World Cup.

I watched most of the game and PSG were awful.

I hate to say it, but even Messi was poor, which is a rarity.

Reims deserved to win, let alone just get a draw.

Their manager William Still is an English-Belgian manager. He's only 30 years old too. Doing very well to say it's his first proper stint as a manager.

I noticed Aaron Connolly scored a couple at the weekend too, the second being a great goal, as part of an apparently fantastic all round display.

Maybe the players weren't the problem, but we'll never know.
With respect to Connolly they were his first goals for over a year. One swallow doesn't make a Summer but will be interesting what he does for the rest of the season at Hull.

I never thought Connolly was as bad as was often made out. He had pace and looked very direct, he wasn’t a great finisher but that comes from confidence. Largely made a scapegoat for our sudden dip in form but I think we now know that was a lot more to do with Wilder.

Balogun, as above, looked decent until Wilder inexplicably dropped him and seemed to dent his confidence too. Maybe neither player will become world beaters but I’m certain we didn’t see the best of them during their time here in what was a fairly toxic situation. No wonder Connolly started looking for other outlets for his frustration. 😁

Was chatting to a Blade the other night for ages at a wedding, and he said my Wilder/Boro story sounds so familiar to him in terms of what happened at SUFC. He said he’s actually not a big fan of him either, despite the good work he did.

I didnt see much from Connolly when he was with us to think anything other than what a wasting talent. If as you suggest Muniz he was fighting demons at the time then maybe Hull will benefit greatly. Shame we had him at such a low ebb.

Regarding Connolly, I actually thought he was dreadful.

Albeit he wasn't playing in a team that played to his strengths, but still, I thought he was extremely limited.

I have a couple of Brighton mates and they laughed when we originally loaned him because they think he's awful. They don't think he'll ever make it as a PL striker.

After his stint on loan to us, I have to agree with them.

He's obviously young enough to improve, but IMO I think he needs to improve a lot.

I think we would have likely finished higher last season without signing Connolly and Balogun. Panic buys and obviously had stipulations from their parent clubs about how much they had to play. Hence Wilder desperately trying to defend Connolly's powder puff performances and scapegoat other players in our team. Probably the beginning of the end for him in fairness, along with the Burnley business

PSG are one of those teams that would be fantastic on Fifa but in reality it just doesn't work - It is possible to have too many superstars. Especially the front three and the ego's. Neymar left Barca to be number 1 without Messi, Mbappe came through and wants to call the shots and then they signed Messi who Neymar got away from.

Plus total domination of the league must start to wear thin but they struggle to ignore the ridiculous salaries/sponsorship's that come with playing for PSG
