According to Wales online Swansea havent been in touch with Ayala - the question being raised [not for the first time on this and other media platforms] concerns his potential salary.Elsewhere, Marcus Maddison - not long ago in great demand, is now a free agent having been on loan to relegated Hull cityMaddison is doing his own advertising on twitter - bemoaning that no one wants him .....

Focus on what you can affect in the here & now, don’t get bogged down in what isn’t going right for you & try focus on the positives. This past month has been hell for me waiting on a phone call that… https://instagram.com/p/CDqxTSwjXaQ/

I wrongly assumed when he didn't re-sign that he had something lined up.

Loved Ayala while he was here, thought he was good for us and we were good for him. Think his agent tried to convince him to sign an extension but he didn't want to and got rid of his agent?

Turns out he had nothing but he assumed he was worth more than he is. Of course he's entitled to look elsewhere and try to get more money.

Just as I'm entitled to hope he struggles to find a club and ends up earning less than we offered.

Both will get signed at some point, they are out of contract so they can wait for as long as they want to, the window doesn’t apply. I’d have Maddison here if the price was right.

ahh come on you can’t wish that on someone - overall he was a good servant to the club!

Don’t give me ‘he was a good servant to the club,’ he had every winter off since he signed and showed his true colours when he left.

He even had a mystery ankle injury under AK that the medical staff could not see.
What were his true colours - he had ambition? He wanted to earn a few quid before the end of his career?
