Attendances - some strange ones

Boro biggest Championship crowd of the season , 52k at St james, 4k+ Sunderland at Donny, over a thousand Hpool at Mansfield , + numerous bumper local non league crowds....Hats off to the region
Why? Again I'm not sure boasting about attendances in the height of a pandemic is a good thing.

I'm not having a go but it seems a really strange thing to be doing.

Point taken regarding the pandemic , i was more thinking along the line of alot of the empty seats were because the home support had better things to do on a boxing day. Tremendous support by the local clubs regardless

Yeah I definitely don't think it's "better things to do". People are either self isolating or not sacrificing family visits at Christmas at the moment. I admit, I didn't and I went to my match but I respect those that don't in these uncertain times

Are the London attendances anything to do with a "man creche"? A couple do a tourist day in London shopping/football and take in a show on the night? Or am I being old fashioned?

For what it's worth, I came back to London today and the tube from King's Cross to home was almost empty.
