Jesus man, that is a hell of a thing you have gone though and are still going through. I can't say I have had anything like that experience with weapons.

A group kicking yes, a really bad one but your experience dwarfs it.

I really hope you can come to terms with it regarding the flashbacks and that your physical injuries heal up too.
