We were in there the other week, it's not bad at all. If you like a fillet steak it's good value, same supplier as Tomahawk but a lot cheaper.Cheers all, i'm book into Sorrriso.

I reckon he's managed to find so where now seeing as it was in OctoberWas gunna say Finkle & Green on the Riverside but just seen that its permanently closed
I used to love H&U. Last few times I’ve been in I’ve been very disappointed. The Italian opposite the aGlobe, Sorriso Is ok. It gets booked up! Personally, I would go to the Hope and Union in Green Dragon Yard. Enjoy
We went before Dave Gorman and was my first time and it was dogs eggsI used to love H&U. Last few times I’ve been in I’ve been very disappointed.
Half the menu not available. Generally Burgers and Parmo’s available only. The quality of food was average too, compared to their old standards.
Might have been unlucky but the last few times they’ve also had staffing issues with staff not turning up - which may be interlinked to the kitchen issues.
We used to do a lot of our works gathering in there but we’ve went elsewhere the last few times. Shame as it used to be absolutely top drawer.
Yeah, sounds farmiliar to our last 2 experiences. We went before Dave Gorman and was my first time and it was dogs eggs
They put a post on fb saying £25 for 8 tacos with 2 margaritas and we had a table booked already
When we turned up they said that's an old deal they don't do anymore but we could still have it for the same price but just without the margaritas so basically the same price as ordering the food on its own- great deal!
Then no cider on draft, only bottles. But the bottles were warm so gave me them with ice. Ordered some food and was pretty average plus the things girlfriend wanted weren't available. Food took ages to come as well.
Dunno if a one off but wouldn't rush back.
One bonus was girl on the till didn't charge us the £1 each for sauces. Quid for sauce in a restaurant!
My experience too. The menu used to change regularly and last time we went, it was just a fast-food type of laminated menu. Not going to use it again.Yeah, sounds farmiliar to our last 2 experiences.
When we used to go years ago they used to do small plates, and their beer / spirit selection was excellent. We went a few years running for Christmas team day out. We’d get a load of small plates and sides to share and spend the remaining works budget on beers and nice spirits at the end.
They seem to have cut back massively on the back bar. Potentially a sign of the times and cutting costs.
The staff have always tried their best and being lovely but it just doesn’t strike me as being very well organised at times.
Last Friday we decided not to bother with getting food after work. Had a couple in the Golden Smog, Tipsy Turtle then finished up in the Kopper Keg. All very good if you like your beer!
