Maybe it's because he has no alternative (but to be resourceful). If NW had been given money to spend, he might have brought in two fullbacks and a c/b at great expense, and Fry, Bola and Dijk-steel would still be drifting. Who knows?

To be fair to Warnock he is trying to sort out the goal scoring problemIt's interesting that out of the starting line up last night, all 10 outfield players were on Boro's books last season.
So it tells us -
1. Warnock is getting far more out of the squad than the previous managers
2. Whatever money has been spent on new players in the summer hasn't been entirely successful. They are either injured or not deemed worthy of a start
3. The big problem from the last few seasons - lack of goals - still exists, and Warnock isn't any closer to solving it than he was in July
