agreed and there is no way any championship side would pay a loanee 4mill wages, even a relegated parachute payment side wouldn't pay that. We won't be paying 50% let alone 100%That’s very misleading
second top Championship earner is Zak Steffen on £80,000 per week - £4,160,000 per year!
It’s Man City who set that fee he’s not our player. It’s a loan.
No.That’s very misleading

I've honestly never heard of about a third of the players on that list, or if I have they have been utterly unmemorable
No chance we are paying him that much'Zak Steffen on £80,000 per week - £4,160,000 per year!'
Hoping that is pure fabrication.
Gayle not worth it dodged a bullet.37k Gayle on a 2 year deal at Stoke....first goal on Saturday. I mean many on here said 'pay anything' to get him. Just like Wilder. Well done recruitment team
Ben Gibson 43k....local lad done well for himself.
its not for city, clubs like that often over pay to have someone of good quality on the bench or in reserves, that way they don't rock the boat and ask to leave all the time. even 40k for top end clubs is fairly common for the experienced 3rd choice. Love to be a 3rd choice premier league goal keeper, its my dream job lol, look at some of the keepers we have had over the years, plenty have stunk the joint out and then moved onto a champions league clubs benchSuppose it depends on the point of the article but unless it shows what % of a loan players salary a club is paying then I don't really see how it's relevant what they're paid as premier League players. It's a different world (although City paying a reserve goalie £80k a week is madness).
Some of the none loan player salaries are still eye watering.
I'm not surprised, the club are not that good at giving internal pay rises to players, unless they really have toSurprised Jones isn't on a lot more, and Fry too compared to people like McNair, Lenihan, Clarke and Fry.
It's not out of the question. Signed from youth in 2018 will have been on a pittance at that point. Had a couple of years going out to lower leagues, then in 2020/21 spent 6 months at Cov then 6 at Rotherham as a championship loanee. He didn't make any great waves at this point and would have been on smaller wages than today. It has Ryan Giles on £4700/week - does anyone beleive that?
