Assombalonga going?

If these statistics are correct, it appears Britt's record in the Championship is better than I thought: 1 goal every 186 minutes; therefore, Britt is more or less a 1 in 2 man if you go by minutes played but he is certainly on a downward trajectory at the moment.
He's a top scorer in our league and that's without previous Boro managers playing to his strengths....

For some weirdo reason people think a striker that can't get in Bristol City's team is the saviour ?

YOU'RE LIVING IN CLOUD CUCKOOLAND !!!!!!

He has never even been close to a top scorer in our league.
Even on that list, he's 25th in the all time Championship tally.

From the season we signed him, he was 13th highest scorer, his first season with us he was 8th highest scorer, then 17th, then 28th.
This season he is the 42nd highest scorer.

You can argue that the club hasn't got money, you can argue that he's done okay in a largely defensive team, but you cannot argue that he's been value for money or that his contribution this season would be difficult to replace.

Blackburn signed Adam Armstrong for £1.75m and he's scored 16 goals in the first half of this season.

Nothing spurious about it.
By number of goals, and goals per minute, he is the 42nd highest scorer in the Championship.

Behind Akpom, Watmore and even a defensive midfielders from Coventry.

We could easily replace him for much less money.... WRONG !
He's out of contract in the Summer so the wages he's earned are irrelevant...
The wages he's earned are indeed irrelevant, as is the fee we paid for him; these are sunk costs. The question should be 'would you pay him £35,000 a week for the next 6 months if you could avoid doing so?'

£910k for Britt over 6 moths then....what sort of signing on fee do you think a new signing would demand, transfer fee, agents fees, wages....get in the real world this isn't a computer game !

What will be will be with Britt , if he goes I wish him well .
A forward relies on service , it starts at the back being solid , get control in midfield , and deliver chances for who ever is playing in the forward positions .
Win your battles .
All great teams have the winners through the spine .
The forwards need that killer instinct , certain players have the gift of scoring goals , Bernie being a perfect example . Hickton , Hendrie , Rav , Viduka , JFH . Yak . Boksic , the list goes on .
We have been lucky to have seen so many quality player in the last 15 year .
