When we were struggling & Sunderland were going well in the league below some of the talk on here was we're swapping places with Sunderland

Now after that excellent result at Charlton, there was not one mention of us going down & or, swapping places with Sunderland

How is that fickle? When we’ve not won for 2 months and have dropped in to the bottom 3 vs having won a game and now out of the bottom 3. It’s just normal.

Can all change in a week, but I'm more hopeful now the slide has been halted.

Sunderland are pretty likely to make the play offs, so there's still a danger they might have a successful season.

They had a thread on their board recently, predicting where each North-East club will finish.

Interestingly, most of them predicted we would go down, but most also predicted they would stay down.

Not fickle in this slightest. I've said all along we are one of the poorest teams in the league and this will go right down to the wire. Some fans will hate this but I haven't changed in my opinion.

Understood Sir. It's an emotive business for sure and we all want the same thing. You know my feelings re Woodgate and of course I hope we survive but I'm not confident.

I guarantee some of the people threatening, swearing and insulting Rudy last week at Barnsley were singing his name at Charlton.

I include myself in the WE also although I am generally on the optimistic, rose tinted glasses side of the fence.
