Which players?I remember reading that when Robbo first came he was frustrated by the limitations of the players he was coaching as to him it came naturally and he was used to being around other top top players.
I think carrick will have a similar issue at first. This might be why he’s playing the likes of Giles at full back etc.
Yes but way below the best players in the country he had been around for most of his playing daysWhich players?
Vickers, Mustoe, Fleming, Whyte, Hignett and Pollock were the backbone of his team for a long time after he arrived. Moore, Hendrie and Wilko were very useful, as was Morris. He inherited a very good core group of players actually, let’s be honest.
Mustoe and hignett are on record as saying that Robbo was the best player in raining and they knew they had to raise their gsme to live with the him.Which players?

Just thinking Coaching shouldn’t be about standard though to be fair, it should be about making improvements to individuals ehMustoe and hignett are on record as saying that Robbo was the best player in raining and they knew they had to raise their gsme to live with the him.
Looking back it might not have been Robbo that said it but some said it about Robbo in that he’ll not be used to players being not at his level.
Don’t forget prior to Saturday carrick was coaching the likes of Ronaldo sancho and rashford

In our current predicament we don't have the luxury of trying players in unfamiliar positions. So Dijksteel as a holding midfielder.......sorry but too risky imo.—————- Steffan —————
Smith —— Fry. —-Lenehan — Giles
—————- Djiksteel —————-
—— Hackney - Howson —- McGree
———Watmore ——— Akpom ——-
Best of what we have available
In our current situation there is nothing sacred or set in stone. Djiksteel is one of our fittest and most energetic players. He was tried in front of the back 3 (by Pulis I think). He will carry the ball and draw players out - something nobody else does. He would wasted at full back - Smith can do that job best in the squad. We need to try something different instead of going through the same motions and getting the same result. Begin by dropping Jones so we at least play with 11 men.In our current predicament we don't have the luxury of trying players in unfamiliar positions. Definitely have him in as RB.....Bola LB. Push Giles into a LH midfield. But both Giles and Jones are in poor form so .......
