Are you confident we will sign Payero?

Fantastic news. Now we just have to see him play for the first time. A lot of jumping before guns going on.

If he’s not Juninho immediately he might start getting boos, give the lad time, too much hype going about.
 
Well I for one hope that's settled some people down.
A young, talented player has been attracted to the club. That is credit to everyone involved, from Leo to Gibson, Bausor and Warnock.
I didn't expect any signings that would excite me, just functional battlers that Warnock would organise and motivate, but Payero excites me.
I'd love it if there were one or two more exciting surprises and a couple of loan players, but realistically the club has little revenue and so there has to be smart work done on recruitment and funding.
I remain critical of Gibson over his appalling decision making since 2016, but credit where it is due and I am really hopeful that we have turned a corner after the gross incompetence of Monk and pulis.

Warnock might be an old manager, he might not be everyone's cup of tea, but working with the overpaid remnants of the Monk and pulis spending, with no chance of moving them out was a thankless job for him to do and for me to watch.
 
I always like the see a player play for most of a game before making a full judgement. I haven't watched him for Argentina so just seen odd highlights not enough to make any sort of judgement. Based on his stats and details we know he looks an interesting purchase/gamble.
