Do early signings equate to getting better players in through the door? Genuine question.
Weren't Silvera and Gilbert signed in early July?

Possibly, yeah. It's about getting the right people of the right quality. It's not ideal if that comes late, but it's better in the long run if it's the right ones (possibly signed after a big sale)Will you say that if we’ve still made no signings by July 31st![]()
He wanted to stay close to home, he didn't want to move to the North EastI was a little disappointed when Kesler-Hayden chose Coventry over us because he would have improved the squad - I'd have took a risk on Poku too.
The rest of the list are all average.
A long time to go yet.
That's only 7 players, are any of them good enough for a promotion or play-off side?
I've only really heard of Riis and Kesler-Hayden. Riss is not good enough (for what we need), he's gone backwards since his fairly good year in 2021.
I suspect he was probably the only one on that list we were seriously in for, and a perfectly sound reason for a young player given Coventry and us have been very similar in terms of likelihood of promotion the last few years. He wanted to stay close to home, he didn't want to move to the North East
I read somewhere else that despite recent sales we need to sell before we can buy, and that cost cutting measures are underway including no private flights to away games.
Might mean the club has eventually become self sufficient and all costs will be covered by revenue.

Are they?That was a troll.
There’ll be an element of truth in it.. we’ve got a pretty heavy squad atmAre they?
