Are the Government massaging the death rate.

No further deaths announced by South Tees NHS Trust, total remaining at 254.

No further deaths announced by North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Trust, total remaining at 140.

South Tees NHS Trust are 5th highest (same as yesterday) in terms of number of deaths in the North East & Yorkshire region (out of 30 NHS Trusts) and the 37th highest (same as yesterday) in the country (out of 220 NHS Trusts in England).

North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Trust are 16th (same as yesterday) in terms of number of deaths in the North East & Yorkshire region and the joint 90th (same as yesterday) in the country.

This thread on how data is being used national/local and NHS/outsourced provider is concerning; the country still doesn't have a grasp of what is happening with the virus in order to effectively reduces its spread:

I wondered if that was the reason we're we've been seeing such low numbers for Teesside compared with the UK average. Also, the Leicester infections publicised since the start of the epidemic are less than the apparent increase of 800 infections in the last two weeks. No wonder local authorities are so exasperated (by Dido sitting on the numbers for data protection reasons).

Not anymore. Hospitalisations are almost double hospital positive tests.
What I mean is because the NHS has been "protected" there is now no excuse for anyone who develops illness severely enough that require hospital treatment to be admitted to hospital, i.e those who live in care homes.

2137 positive tests in Teesside and 339 in North Yorkshire in South Tees hospital district.

No increase in Teesside and one new case in North Yorkshire positive tests today. These are only Pillar 1 results.
Is this what the narrative is been changed to now then regarding pillars?
I.e the numbers are meaningless without pillar 2 3 and 4?

Pillar 1 are still the most likely to be indicative of hospital admission. There was a link yesterday suggesting hospital admissions are higher than Pillar 1 positive tests; when I looked through the data, that doesn't appear to be the case as the total of hospital admissions stopped being reported a few weeks back.

Government would be daft not to massage the figures which by measurement of excess deaths currently shows totally their incompetence. Now the longer you roll the measurement out the gap will close. The very weakest in our society have been wiped out so deaths now have to fall for a period.a second wave should not be as devastating unless the really b0llx it up.
Mid you this SuperSaturday is the perfect prep for government to blame the people for wave 2.

3187 positive tests in Teesside and 626 in North Yorkshire in South Tees hospital district.

Figures now seem to include Pillar 1 and Pillar 2 and duplicate tests removed. R&C and Hambleton appear to have the biggest uplift with this change.
