What does that indicate as haven't they crept up a little the last couple of days compared to the week before?

Could be a testing issue (fewer tests for some reason), a reporting issue (delayed results) or a genuine fall in cases. Whatever the reason, the 7-day rate fell by 16.7% over the course of 24 hours, which is an enormous change in a day.

The number of positive cases for 13th Feb currently stands at 6 and for the 14th it's currently 3 (those numbers might change slightly but probably not dramatically). The average for the preceding seven days was 19 per day.

Even if the next datapoint was zero, this doesn't sound right.

No. I agree.

The provisional numbers for the next two days (which are likely to change a bit) are 8 and 11, which is at least closer to the recent trend. Even so, that would still bring a further 20% fall in the 7-day rate.

Like I say, those provisional numbers will probably increase a bit over the next couple of days, so we'll see.

Are we seeing a reverse or has it genuinely fallen off a cliff?
