Are the Government massaging the death rate.

On the subject of the title of this thread.

Staggering if correlated with other sources.

Except, of course, the ONS has already published analyses of excess deaths during the pandemic, which acknowledged that there were a significant proportion that weren't Covid-related. It's hardly sweeping it under the carpet if the government's own statistical service is publishing reports on the subject!

Still, let's not allow the truth to get in the way of a good conspiracy theory.

I think his point was more to do with the fact it hasn't been discussed in public.

Nothing he reported is conspiracy.

But his opening line is "The anomaly in weekly deaths that has been swept under the carpet". So he's claiming that it is information which has not been highlighted by anyone in government or, worse still, has been suppressed.

That's a conspiracy theory and, like most such theories, is completely unsupported by the evidence.

Of course it's been suppressed by the media.

Because the only issues we've been told in the media were and are deaths with covid and excess deaths with covid all mentioned on death certificates.

Every other cause of death has been put on the shelf and forgotten about. If excess people aren't dying of anything other than covid the media don't care. That you cannot deny.

Do you mean suppressed by the media like this:

Or this:

Or this:

Or perhaps suppressed by the government like this:

Yes, I think your Twitter friend is onto a real scoop here...
