@Billy Horner
I thought you might like to have a look at this map the ONS have compiled. Very informative.

Thanks RS. It's a really good tool, but I hadn't seen the most recent update, so thanks for that. Even just looking at Teesside, you can see the links between numbers of deaths and both population density and deprivation.

I do think the ONS has been excellent this past few months. It's extremely difficult to collate, validate and analyse data (certainly for publication) within the timescales that they've been operating.

I was surprised at how little the numbers are for my area and also the Moors national park area given the percentage of elderly people who live round these parts.

2103 positive tests in Teesside and 335 in North Yorkshire in South Tees hospital district.

0.4% increase in positive tests after two days of zero. It looks as though there are no weekend reports and Tuesday makes up for it. Still, very low Teesside infections over the last few weeks compared with the national average. No infections in R&C for three days.

0.1% increase in Teesside positive tests. A quarter of the national average.
North Yorkshire gone down by 1?

Do you hold any opinion on the some reports that infections have been counted more than once?

Yes. Possibly a mistake in the figures given yesterday. (Not mine!)

Newsnight suggested last night that the lower test and trace figures in the first week of testing was because a lot (25%) of positive tests reported were double counted. I'm not sure why the figures are so low for week 2 though.
