Are Leeds in trouble financially?

I imagine they were banking on going up with these figures. I guess another year of parachute payments may help.

They have 2-3 genuine sellable assets. Yet hardly a drop in the ocean if they need 190mil.

You'd think they would he significantly weaker next season. Although almost certainly have a new manager going by the state of social media😂

They will be fine this year they have a few saleable assets they can make good money on, might not be as easy in a years time though if they don’t go up next season.

I believe £40m of their £56m wage bill is covered by parachute payments.

Well if they're using the parachute payments to cover the wage bill, they can't also use it to cover the transfer debt.
Something has to give, right?

I think the parachute payments go down each year, don't they? I don't know what they are in the 2nd year for a team who was up for 3 seasons though.

I expect them to sell and spend some, but I can't see them spending more than half of what they bring in, and more like a third.
I think they'll be financially ok next season; whether they are competitive too is another matter.

FH - I too expect them to sell a couple of players and replace them with cheaper options.

They are allowed to make £39m of losses over 3 years.

I would expect we will be much closer than the 21 points gap of last season.

Is that the case? In that 3 yr period they will have had to in Prem. I know Forrest’s issues where different to Everton (lower allowable losses) as the had 2 years in champo.

Don't worry.
They can sell Elland road to themselves for 250 million and still play in the stadium.
That law has now bn outlawed following the Derby & Sheff wed fiasco

I would how we can get much closer than the 21 points gap of last season.

In the 22-23 season, they posted a loss of £33 million. Obviously they were still in the PL at that point.

I think that's £39m in total, not per season isn't it?

I doubt they've made a profit t this year, so they must be pushing that limit.

Nope. I think they are actually fine.

They will obviously need to sell in the summer, before they buy, but they have some decent assets that will fetch for a few quid.

Sumemrville, Gnonto and Rutter will all attract decent sized bids, so they'll stay above the red line, without doubt.

Of course, I hope I am wrong and they are absolutely screwed, to the point administration comes and LUFC is no more.
