Apparently Levy is taking over the lead role in negotiations for Spence

We should get him back in training. If the d*ck from spurs wont pay then fu.ck him.
If he is worth it, we will get it. If not, he stays and plays.
We gave him a new contract to keep the ball in our court. I'm sure that, as we get closer to the new season, things will start going our way, as far as realistic offers for him.

Of course he's taking the lead, he's the Chairman of the football club about to spend over £10 million quid....

Tell us something we don't know !!!
Thanks 👍
If you knew anything you would know the director of football was in charge of the dealings regarding this transfer. You do make a fool of yourself….

I think we need to be careful. The ball isn't really "in our court" because if Spurs pull out... nobody else is going to pay 15-20 million. He'll end up going to Forest for 7.
We've all seen Spence play, even at Forest... and I think we can all agree he's not worth 15-20 million.

I'm not a negotiator and there's probably a lot more going on behind the scenes, but if we want 15 and they want 10... Just sell him for 12.5 and move on.

A young English u21 International has just been one of the key players in taking a side from bottom of the league to promotion to the PL.

We will get at least 15million for him. Might just have to wait a bit.

If nobody else is going to pay £15-20m why would Spurs?

If it's possible to get him for £7m why wouldn't Spurs just offer that to start with?

"I'm not a negotiator" I'd never have guessed 😉

As things stand, Spurs won't pay £15-20m either. They value Spence at £10m, which is why negotiations are still ongoing.

I'm not saying it's possible to get him for £7m, I'm saying... if Spurs decide to look elsewhere, we don't have a queue of other clubs wanting to pay the same amount.

I hope I'm wrong and we get what we want (£!5m), but in my opinion... If Spurs want him for 10 and we're saying 15... Meet them in the middle, get him sold asap, and move on.

And if you knew anything you would know that Fabio Paratici the Managing Director, Football at Spurs is “responsible for managing and developing the club’s sporting operations, facilities and footballing infrastructure.” and NOT responsible for negotiating fees, transfers and contracts....that's down to the Chairman !!

I'm waiting for an apology........

15million is nothing really. Even if he didnt quite make the step up to the premier league. Spurs could easily recoup 10million plus back from a side with parachute payments looking to bounce back. Spence has proven he can perform at the top end of this division. So he will be in demand by any side looking to get promoted id say.

I'd heard that the deal between clubs had been done, the transfer fee agreed and it was for £10m

Nobody outside of Gibson, Bausor and the negotiators from the Spurs side have any idea what the specifics are. I’d pay no attention to anything about the mechanics of transfers until the deal is completed and announced by those involved.

All this media talk is just noise IMO. Driven by clicks, likes and shares. I listened to a podcast on The Athletic yesterday and it was essentially five grown men discussing transfer tittle-tattle as if it was gospel. One of them actually said “it’s a fact, well, it’s not a fact but it’s probably a fact as we understand it,” when discussing Raheem Sterling’s potential move to Chelsea. I won’t bother listening again, it’s not worth the time.

I thought about Boro appointing Alan Fettis as ‘keeper coach yesterday and wondered if someone from Man. United had ‘leaked’ something somewhere along the line, “Boro want one of our goalkeepers,” because we’d enquired for Fettis. People assumed we wanted Henderson or Heaton.

It just shows that what’s in the papers is almost always rubbish when it comes to details. Clubs, officials, agents, whatever, may leak bits and bobs but it’s rarely worth taking notice of. As if anyone would *actually* know what Levy was doing or thinking about signing Spence.

I can imagine it dragging on, Levy getting smug thinking he's saving some money & Conte about to explode as his plans for the season are being sunk by the admin..

£15m plus add ons is not big money for a top Championship player at the beginning of his career. Spurs are going to lose out if they are not careful.

I’ve never heard of a buying club trying to drive the price up so if he’s actually taking the leed then atleast it may get done quicker one way or another .
