Shame that some teenagers were knocking on Van der Poel's hotel room in the early hours & then submitted a complaint to the police which saw him arrested &, due to a disturbed preparation, withdraw from the race,

Hsha. Yes an odd story of mischievous children playing knock and dare and running away from his hotel room and his reaction allegedly being a little to aggressive for their liking. Very disappointed for him.

Excellent week for GB - 3 golds, silver and bronze. Zoe Backstedt as dominant as Remco in the Junior categories with two golds.

The current world junior Madison champion, world junior time trial champion, world & european junior cyclocross champion & now the world junior road race champion as well.
Comes from good stock with both her parents being former cyclists, hopefully goes on to have a successful senior career.
