Anyone own the Pixel 6?

6 pro here. Like previous poster I buy for camera. It is superb. People comment on how good and professional the photo look. It has the screen to display them too. As a phone it ok. Maybe too advanced for me. Just about to transfer over 2nd number using esim. Big phone and battery lasts about 1day. Camera apart, there are better out there.

On the battery, I've never charged over 85% and generally don't let it slip below 20% and it lasts easy over a day, I'd say I could squeeze 2 out but don't. I don't hammer my phone playing games, or on line that much though so may not be a true comparison to YJs experience above.
Music/podcast apps and socials mainly...so online quite a bit 👍

The Holy Gmail of the perfect phone! I have the Samsung Galaxy A70. Love it. Wouldn't go back to a smaller phone.... but I do wonder what phone I should have next. (Not being water resistant, and the camera (but that could be my crap photography skills) are my only two slight gripes with the A70). I'd also probably fancy a 5G handset at some too.

Edit: That should have said Holy Grail - Google controlled spellchecker!!

I thought Holy Gmail was a clever endorsement of a Google phone!😄

How are you all getting on with your Pixel 6 almost a year later?

I am considering getting one after nearly 10 years with oneplus where my Nord 2T phone overnight has suddenly decided to stop ringing - without notifications it's just a glorified camera & browser.

I'm waiting for the Pixel 7a to be released in June. Looks like it's going to be great all rounder.

Best phone I've ever had.
Not one for the hardcore gamers, but if you just want a phone that does everything you could possibly need then I can't recommend the Pixels enough.

I'm looking to get rid of mine. Fingerprint sensor is awful despite the upgrades and I use it 30-40 times per day

The phone isn't bad but the battery life is so so.

Wouldn't advise against it though as there doesn't seem to be much about at the minute. I might try the Samsung again

I didnt change my 4a in the end - thought about the 7a as it does look good, and also looked at the Zenfone 9 but in truth, this does everything I need it to plus is a proper compact phone.
As an aside, I also ended my 3 contract and moved to Smarty mobile - £10 per month for unlimited calls and text and 60gb data. Added bonus - the inclusive text and mins can be used in EU for free (up to 12gb of data). This took my contract down from £34 pm all inc to £10. Definitely worth a shout and they made it easy to port my number too.

As an aside, is Smarty any good?

does anybody know why other mobile providers that allow usage abroad with extra fees?
I've only been with them for a month but already they appear better than Three. No waiting to get through - it is all done through the app but you can chat to a real person, not a bot. I was initially sceptical but to be honest, they do what they say on the tin. Also with the offer at the moment, you get the 60gb instead of 30gb for a whole 12 months. Even 30 would have been enough for me but its nice they doubled it plus no prices rises or changes either. For a tenner, can't really go wrong. Best Three could do was offer me 30gb with unl calls and texts, no roaming for £13.

If anyone wants to join Smarty. They also have a £10 free Amazon Voucher for referrels for the person referring and the new customer.

As for Smarty itself I'd check Three's coverage for your area. Works fine most places outdoor but in my house I have to use Wifi calling as the signal inside is rubbish.

Yes they do piggyback on Three's network but as Jan said, they also support wifi calling so you should be fine in most places.

I'm on GiffGaff, £10/m, free calls & texts and 20gb. No European roaming charges either.
Dead easy to transfer your number as well and you get cash back for referrals.
20gb does me too as I'm not a social media user and it mostly goes on Spotify in the car.
