Anyone for a game of Ian Culverhouse?

I've caught this on the radio a few times over the years but have never actually bothered myself to ever find out what the actual rules are. So, sorry I can't help with this one.

This. There are no rules. The joke is you say any 70s footballers name and hope that somebody gets wound up to think there is actually a link or purpose to the game.

Cheers Cardiff. Well there you go, you learn something new every day!

I imagined it was something like you had to name a footballer, then the opposing player had to name another player who played (at some point in their career) with the footballer the other player named, and so on. Until someone names a player who played with Ian Culverhouse at some point, and whoever says Culverhouse then wins!

😆 Shows how much attention I've paid to it over the years if its essentially just some guff to fill in 5 minutes of radio.

It’s the sort of thing that may have been mildly amusing the first or second time they did it.

I really don’t understand how it is gone on for so long.

It is a one gag act and that gag is very old and tired now.

Ian Culverhouse is the Bruce Rioch of Kings Lynn Town FC.
Southern League to National League in two straight promotions.

Beat that!
