Anyone else..

Great gig last night. Travis were their usual vibrant selves, especially on their home patch, and warmed the audience up well for The Killers.
The Killers didn’t disappoint, and threw in a few surprises. They did an excellent cover of the Water Boys, Whole of the Moon, which nobody was expecting as I believe it was a first for them. Then, a guy at the front was holding up a sign asking them if he could drum, apparently it was the second night in a row he had been there, so they dragged him up and he did For Reasons Unknown with them. It brought the house down!

That’s a great anecdote for the drummer isn’t it?

‘How was the Killers gig’?
‘Yeah, great - I got up and drummed for them’….😳

Greenday used to do this - they would invite a guitar player and a drummer from the audience.
It was amazing when I saw it - the kids who got up were about 15/16

They do it at a lot of gigs:

Back in the day, Travis used to do a cover of the Britney song Hit me baby one more time.

Glad you had a good gig, I've seen both of them live in the past. Travis in Glasgow and Killers in Singapore, both were excellent.

It rhe best of those arena type venues in the country. Great sound good bars food etc.
Were you standing? Went to see Liam Gallagher last week and not impressed with the venue. Stage was too low as were the main lights and it just fet like you couldn't see anything.
Really enjoyed glasgow though.

We were in the seats last night, but we had an excellent view. No complaints from us, apart perhaps with the unorganised stampede at the end, but that’s par for the course I suppose.

I was standing at the Travis gig and it was completely fine, perhaps I am considerably taller than you.

Wasn't at the Hydro (which I think is a great arena) but I was at Bellahouston Park for Green Day on Tuesday.

Once you were actually inside the park/venue, it was great, but getting out of it was a nightmare. Not sure if I will book to go there again unless there is a hotel within walking distance. Ended up walking all the way back into the city centre as the traffic was so built up and no chance of getting a taxi. Didn't get into my room until 12:25, the gig finished at 10:45.

They did this on Tuesday, in Glasgow! The young lad was absolutely class as well. Video here:

Also brought a young lass on to sing during Know Your Enemy.
