Anyone else still optimistic?

7 games for us to go with a game in hand
3 points behind
2 goals behind

I feel we're well capable, it would be the most typical Boro thing to lose to Hull then go beat Bournemouth & Huddersfield.

I wonder if after a couple of bad results our rival fans went on like it's the end of the world.

This is the lowest I've felt since Wilder came in, including Sheffield United.

However with Jones & Payero hopefully back we can get back at it. We missed Tav in center mid, his drive, it's absolutely no coincidence we're struggling without Jones.
His ability creates chances, the way he's marked creates chances. Looking for positives despite being deflated

I'm not, but all it takes is a win on Friday for that confidence to come back.

These next two games are huge now, anything less than 4 points and I think it's probably over.

Before today, and with my "try to be realistic" hat on, I thought we had a 50/50 chance of getting top 6. Now it's less than that, still possible though. I'm cautiously optimistic (just :) )

The next 3 games are very difficult, maybe take 3 pts from Hudds Town, then regroup after the Swansea game then push for 74pts, if that's enough🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m optimistic, we missed Jones the last two games, eventually our strikers must start scoring.

Optimism not just based on a play off hope this year

. The football has just been much better to watch I think back to when we made the playoffs and played Villa the football is far superior now.

Hopefully even if we are in the championship next year we can bring a couple of scoring forwards in and an outstanding keeper and we can have a great season.

£15-20, 000,000 for Spence could really strengthen the team.

Our poor scoring record has been our weak link for years. We have the ability to sign useless strikers. and slow mid fielders.

If we continue to play like we did today then it's over. I'm sure Wilder will get them going again though.

Hopefully 🙏

Looking at our results. Since the turn of the year our longest win streak was 2 games, which we have done once (B’ham, P’boro). Far too inconsistent and are not putting any sort of run together

Its still in our hands particularly as we still have to play huddersfield but today's result has put us in a position where we really have to get something from bournemouth

We'll still qualify for the playoffs, of that I don't really have much doubt. Betfair have us as 1.8 to finish top 6 so betterr than a 50/50 chance.

The main thing is, it is still in our hands. If we win our games, we are in the playoffs. Dissappointing result today and the team did look a bit unbalanced and we do miss Jones.

For some reason I was optimistic. But thinking back we were abysmal at Sheffield utd. Birmingham were absolutely abject and we only had to turn up to win. Peterborough could/should have gone ahead and if they had would we have won? Fulham we showed no endeavour until we fell behind.
I'm normally glass half full but I don't see it happening.
