Anyone else in Teesside sick of these Fighter Jets?

Why is having a long runway good in the modern era? - I get it for like Lancaster Bombers and stuff, but these are £100m Jets
The runway was extended by 400 yards in the 1950s to take planes like the Vulcan, as shown in that picture above (how scary does that look with all those people all over the place?). I guess they needed a very long runway to take off.

When the runway was lengthened the old road on the south side of the airfield from Middleton One Row to Low Middleton was closed. You can still see it behind the fence leading towards the old church. A new road was built closer to the river to replace it.

For some reason the hawk is my favourite RAF plane, not just because of the red arrows…I think they fly them in top gun as well… I always thought they’d prove a good limited combat plane if we ever got invaded 🤷🏼‍♂️

They didnt fly Hawks in Top Gun. They flew Douglas A-4 SkyHawks which are a completely different aircraft.
Our Bae Hawks have many different varients from the old T1 that the Reds fly, with all other UK T1s being retired from service in March 22.
The T2 is the newer version with the latest variant Mk167 now based at RAF Leeming.
There was a US Navy GosHawk and countries such as Indonesia, Inia, Africa and Malasia use a light combat Hawk.

You should come to Leeming and see the Hawks. They fly every weekday Mon-Fri. There is a carpark/Viewing area looking over the airfield.

Dunmail Raise in The Lake District (Keswick) is the new "Mach Loop".
Is it just the Yanks using the Mach Loop now? The video that I posted seemed to have a fair number of aircraft featuring?

I've seen the Americans (I assume it was them in F15s) going up Wensleydale this year, I used to work in Masham many moons ago and we used to get mostly choppers going up the dale Chinooks, Apaches and Merlins (IIRC)

Are they similar airframes? I know they produce a variety under licence don’t they?

Edit (just checked, you’re right, they’re completely different..)

there’s a run through the penines up nest tan hill that has low flying planes… I got buzzed by an Osprey last year (they are the vertical lift prop planes) was quite impressive driving along and seeing that flying lower than me…
