Anybody wishing the season had been cancelled?

I do - I did before the restart.

As much as I am enjoying the matches - even last night - The rejuvination of the likes of Hull, Barnsley, Luton etc might see us relegated. The lockdown has shifted the goal posts and been advantageous to some clubs and not others.

It's funny how things work out - I personally think that if there had been no break, we would have survived and JW might still be here, planning for next season.
As much as i like NW, there is no guarantee that he might fancy a season long campaign in that division.

I must own up that I think this artificial season should have been scrapped in tribute to the people who have died, but money talks.
Just one point was that if Boro had a second proper centre back we would not have lost, but now we are in this mess we should be able to apply ourselves to getting out of trouble.

Nah, I'd sooner we stayed up or went down based on a full season, even though I disagreed on it restarting. It's done now and it's not looking like it's spreading the virus so far.

I think we've still got a half decent chance of staying up given Wigan's points deduction and the fact that every relegation rival still has to play at least one of each other.

Barnsley play Stoke, Luton and Wigan.
Luton play Barnsley, Huddersfield and Hull.
Wigan play Barnsley, Hull and Charlton.

Plus Brentford play Barnsley, Charlton, Stoke and Wigan. I'd say Brentford are probably the best footballing side in the league.

Of course, none of that helps us if we can't pick up wins ourselves.

I always wanted the season to be completed and I see no reason to change my mind. I don't believe that anyone has been handed an advantage here.

It's all about the money apperently

As to the OP we need to ask ourselves why some teams are reacting better than others? It's a level playing field we are all in the same boat. This that go down deserve to go down.

But it is all about the money though, isn't it - Why didn't they finish Leagues 1 and 2?

Because the majority of teams voted not too. Nothing to do with money, football is important to people it’s why we all love it. They have found a safe way to finish a season they had already started and for the integrity , finishing it was always the logical option. We can’t moan that it’s back just cos we are *****

Money IS *part* of the reason but this idea that professional sport should never consider the financial situation is a bit crazy. Its a profession, the object is to make money from it. If people want to watch Sunday League, watch Sunday League.

Yes, I do. Apparently MFC voted to continue. That has to be one of the strangest decisions in football's history of strange decisions. Guaranteed safety, plenty of time to work out a plan for next season, and reflect on what went wrong. As it is now, Boro are slipping rapidly towards the trapdoor and there seems to be nothing to arrest the slide.

I don’t. While I wasn’t interested in the season restarting, I think it would have been wrong to relegate teams with 8 games still to play for their survival.
Would feel dirty if we stayed up due to the season ending.
Plus we’d probably still have Woodgate in charge for next year.

If we go down, it’ll be because we deserve to and I’ve no problem with that really.....I think😩

Would have been better for us, but the season had to be finished in one way or another. Unfair to finish a season 3/4 in, imagine we would have felt very different if we were sitting top of the league.

Fully agree, if we go down its something we have to take on the chin. We certainly can't blame the nasty authorities for making us fulfil our fixtures.

I thought restarting football was wrong, especially with all the rule changes and precautions needed. However, now the games are being played I have grudgingly accepted it and wouldn't want to stay up on a technicality (though Wigan's points deduction may mean that anyway). I hope we'll be ok financially if we do go down. However, the speed with which Gibson got Warnock in after Swansea suggests that this might not be the case? Do we have a supporters trust?

Still hasn't been explained why some teams have an advantage over others?

Well, it's just an opinion but the break allowed teams to re-group and start afresh - If the break hadn't have happened, momentum would have made changes in form more difficult

That's surely the same for every team though? I see what you mean to some extent if times had momentum going into the break.
