Anybody fancy Sunderland to go up via the playoffs?

I would say I want them to come up for a 'Derby'. Then again it will just infuriate me when they give us 2000 tickets due to police advice.

It would be nice to give Grant a round of applause and Watmore to bag a winner😉

A quick glance at their form and you wouldn't see any of my money on them! Second worst form in the division (Plymouth worse with a single draw in the last five, Sunlun having two draws)

Still they will be in it and they can score goals which helps in a knockout game.

Would rather see Oxford or Portsmouth as they are closer to me. If Peterborough go up I would like to go there as I have not been before and the son in law is from there and a Peterborough, and a fan, although he has probably seen more Middlesbrough matches recently. He can go in the home end. Daughter, grandson and I can go in the away end.

In a perfect world I'd like all three NE clubs to be in the PL, but I can't see that happening anytime soon. Rivalries aside, I actually think Sunderland are a very similar club to Boro and I'd rather have the derby games next season than not.

I agree with all that. However, the Mackems think of themselves as some huge club on par with Manchester United almost. That alone make them being in League One funny.

I don’t think the Mackems see themselves as superior. They are grounded just like us. Massive support who deserve better having worked with quite a few of them. The geordies think they should be in the champions league and are arrogant IM.

On about Newcastle, glad they scored a 95th minute equaliser at Liverpool, keeps Liverpool out of the top 4 & hopefully not qualifying for the CL, another of the rich 6 who, fingers crossed, miss out, 👍😁
Plus keeps the hapless Bruce in a job as well so win win

I don't know about that, but they do see.themselves as everyone else's cup final in that division.

While that may have been true when they first went down, they are close to becoming part of the league one furniture. If they don't make it up this time, they will have been in that division longer than three quarters of the other teams at the start of next season.

I can see Charlton sliding into the playoffs and doing them again.

FH - just look at their forum to see how many view themselves. I must say, I do know plenty of Sunderland supporters and they’re decent people.

Hmmm, you should look at their board. They belittle any other fans that go there and dare to talk football with them. There was a Peterborough fan on there earlier, just talking about todays games before kickoff, no malice whatsoever, and all he got in return was abuse. Last season they had nothing but vile insults for Coventry fans, a club they've hated since the 70s for some reason. The season before that their venom was aimed at Portsmouth. And every few months there's a 200 page thread about Boro, at how insignificant we are and how much they don't care about us. They're not grounded at all.

They dislike Coventry for the simple reason back in 1976 Coventry & Bristol City, after hearing Sunderland had lost 2-0 at Everton in their final fixture of the season & all they needed to do was play out for a draw, resulting in either team going over the half way line, the game finished 0-0

Sunderland were relegated, not because of either of those two team but because they deserved to be relegated, its over 42 games not one
