Thanks Harry. Haven't posted in months and months but had a look about a week ago. I think Boro having a good season has made it easier to post again.

It was alleged posts made my two journalists. Only one still at Gazette
But the stand off was solved as soon as the former hierarchy of Gazette departed. There was a stand off chairman to editor. It needed someone to reach out at that level. Or that is how it seemed. Once a new regional editor came in and approached Steve Gibson it was hand shakes all round and normal service resumed (except Gazette journalists no longer go their own private one to ones with the manager on press conference days).

Dom and that other lad who got banned I think (jonathon, can't remember his last name) don't believe Vic or Phil were banned but rather stood in solidarity.
I'm pretty sure it was to do with the articles that come out post-relegation and the karanka fall out, it was pretty staggering the information the gazette got their hands on at that time. I did hear it was a leak from a player who in recent podcasts hasn't had a good word to say about the club and also looked to be getting forced out that summer, but not sure how true that is.
I don't think it was that staggering.....divides behind the scenes, Orta coming into the dressing room to speak to 'his players,' etc. It wasn't that much of a surprise given the turmoil at the club at the time was it?

The gazette hadn't reported on behind the scenes goings on like that for absolutely years, you've got to admit it was a bit of a shift in rhetoric. While the stories themselves weren't that surprising I think the gazette reporting on them was, it was the type of thing I'd expect to see on here.
They haven't done anything like it since either, which says it all.
