As previously mentioned, I know most on here are well aware of these scumbags attempting to profiteer from anything and everything.
Latest is one variant of a phishing attack - ensure that anyone you know is aware that is it horseshït

If that's appeared on the same text thread, would that not indicate it has been sent by the same source as the text above it, which is legit is not it, the one we all got sent? Or was that spurious too? If the 2nd text is a scam, I can understand how people get tricked if what I just said is the case here

Unfortunately vulnerable people in a time like this may be tricked by the low life scum who perpetrate these crimes.

Remember there’s an awful lot of people not firing on all cylinders who have mental issues creeping in . These people ordinarily wouldn’t fall for it but are now vulnerable .

I suspect it’s coming from one of several particular countries that I won’t name who are very good at this

afcb_acklam. There are gullible people of all ages who fall for scams. I suggest you think before pinpointing folk of a particular age as being more stupid than any other.
