A lot in the past week - a very good example of an email trying to look like it is coming from the Government Gateway (lots of nice images to make it look official)
It was easy to spot, first the Government Gateway does not go into details of refunds - it tells you you have a message only.
Also it gives a long number and reference which matches nothing I have from HMRC
Another was a call from a Debt agency who wanted to help clear my debt. Easy to keep him talking whilst he escalated the urgency of a payment then tell him I needed to go get my wallet - left him hanging and went for lunch.
Seems to be a new wave of these scumbags - you all are pretty savvy by now I'd guess, but make sure elderly parents etc are aware of them.
