For about 10 whole mins. Until he realised it was a ruse.

Here's the true test of time spent in that sacred booth though; whilst you were stood there, how many times did he announce "If you're feeling peckish, check out Madison Diner, where tonight's special is chicken nuggets, chips and salad, for two pound-something or other"?

Repetition has ingrained it firmly in my memory (apart from the pence bit) even 30 odd years later...
