Andy Carrol

Because he scored a goal? He'd have been shipped out immediately by Wilder because he is the furthest thing from a Wilder player you can get.
Pre wilder this thread mate. Nah he won everything in the air today. Both in our box and theirs.

He was a handful and scored .
I think after today Wilder will want a plan B striker who can change a game , and by bringing Coburn on and not Uche tells me Uche is going , and we need an upgrade on Coburn for that role .

Wilder has already said Uche is going. He said he’s happy with his forward now

He's said Uche can go.He wasn't on the bench today, so you're right - Coburn is ahead of him now

I loved the expression on Carrolls face at the end, he looked like a broken man, then again, i guess in many ways he actually is 🤣

Wonder if he gets his move to Burnley. He will cause any defence problems when he’s at it to be fair to
Him. He’s stayed fit for Reading to be fair to him

in his press conference he literally said Uche is finished here

That's three goals he's had against us at the Riverside in recent years. I was not surprised he bagged a goal today, and he put himself about the pitch as well. Played with more heart than a lot of our former strikers had at times.
He's been plagued by injuries for a lot of his career, which is a shame for someone who promised so much.

He scored as he always does v the boro

but the answer is still no
The original question, pre wilder was… is he worth a punt? For a £1k a week? I think so
If he ends up at Burnley I can see him out scoring Chris Wood.

But no there is no place for him here.
He will score goals, he makes things happen. He’s on a 1k a week at Reading. I think he will be a great addition to Burnley, hopefully score the goals that keep the thickos in the bottom 3
