Andor the prequel series to rogue one is out now On Disney plus and 3 episodes have been released together.

That’s my TV sorted for tonight.

Anyone watched it yet as it’s a very different take on the Star Wars universe a lot bleaker and a more adult darker take on life under the empire.

Urgh I haven't watched Obi Wan yet.. I was hoping to blast it while camping next week.

Just how good is this dark intense with a real dystopian almost Orwellian overtones. With the secret police feel.

The way it captures the sheer scale of the empire machine and the intense bureaucracy and mundane cold heartedness if it is great a real “adult” take on it.

I enjoyed the mandalorian, boba fett and Obi wan.
I thought the first and third sequel movies were pretty good. The last jedi I thought was brilliant.
I even watched the prequel trilogy when I had a few days left on my Disney plus and while the phantom menace was pretty poor, attack of the clones was decent and the last one was very good.

I'm definitely not a star wars fan.

Confession. I've never watched any Star Wars. So, as I was running out of new SF I decided to watch some of these prequels as a way of testing the waters without any prior knowledge of who these characters are in the Star Wars universe. Mandalorian - meh, but watchable, although I couldn't for the life of me understand the acclaim it received. Obi Wan - almost unwatchable - was Ewan McGregor supposed to talk like that? Boba Fett - the best of the three, but still little left to the imagination. Andor is much better than these three and the characters are more believable - quite enjoying it.

Non-related, but The Peripheral might be worth a watch - produced by Jonathan Nolan of Westworld fame. Only two episodes in but looks interesting.

I'm a self confessed Star Wars nut so a little blinkered, but these series have given me some of my favorite moments in TV.
Kenobi was superb, his character arc and interaction with Leia was marvelous.

I like start wars but have only watched the first 6 films, is there an order to watch them all in including the series? Think I might have a go at it.
