I AM a Boro supporter, have been for many years.
I know what I like and definitely know what I don’t like.
There have been very few players over the years that have frustrated me like Britt Assombalonga.
I cannot see him getting any better....can you ?.
In order for me to change my mind about him before he hopefully leaves in the new year, and it is only my opinion of course he needs to improve his game considerably.

I don’t really want much, an ability to shoot straight, be stronger When tackled, stay upright and improve his heading in the opposition box.
A tall order I know, but its not impossible.
All the above can be attained with practice, I am
However given that he has not improved one iota in any aspect of his game for 3 years or more, I think it is unlikely.

so you see, I have reasons for not being a fan his.
I would dearly like to know why you feel he should be defended.

Where did I insult you?
You've told me I must be blind, must have a medical problem because I dont agree with you but I've never insulted you. If you can point out where I directly insulted you I'll never post on here again.

He should be defended because he's a part of the Middlesbrough team we're supposed to support, not that he's immune from criticism but at least treated with a modicum of fairness and reasonableness.

No I didn't. I said you had a choice of how you could react to your obvious dislike for Assombalonga. I said the way you react would in my opinion affect in the future how you came across to others. I didn't call you a name or directly attribute anything negative towards you. Just saying you have a choice.

I also said he had been a 1 in 2 striker wherever he had been, boro turned him into a 1 in 3. You chose to ignore that.
 
Well yeh but it wasnt boro that turned him into that it was a few very bad injuries that clearly affected his pace which was his main asset back when he was scoring for Peterborough and Forest before he was crocked but even back then forest fans were saying the same as what I hear alot of Boro fans saying that he doesnt do enough nowhere near enough in the majority of games and it really isnt like he doesnt get chances he just doesnt take enough of them.

Every team hes played for has been either relegated or been fighting survival and when he played regular under monk we struggled. Then Pulis dropped him for gestede and we rocketed up the league. Then the next season when we had Hugill up top until xmas time we were top 4 then when Britt starts to play the majority of games we dropped out of the top 6 and lost 7 in a row. It's not a coincidence for me he really is like being a man down unless he scores.
