I found this document on the internet in 2010.

The document linked to below is from 2007 and was first posted on the fmttm site in 2010.

I thought it was worth posting it again here on the new board.

It contains a really interesting interview with Steve Gibson.

The Steve Gibson interview started on page 110. I have edited the document down to only include the title page and the interview. It is a great read.

sadly we have no idea what he thinks these days as he hasn’t bothered to speak to us for years, not even a token letter on st renewal day now either.

I understand that. I also think that it is a frustrating situation. However if you read the interview you will see why I feel that he played a big part in keeping the club alive. So I will always be grateful to him for that.

I remember my dad telling me about the sports hall.

That's a good read, Spanishman. There is a condensed version of the story of Steve G gaining control of MFC from 2:05 in this video.

MSS chairman for a couple of years and he helped with a number of interviews for editor Andy Smith with the fabulous MSS magazine in the 1990s. Not sure why he copywrited some of that material as many people wrote and worked on that magazine around that time and never thought to feel the need to warm others for illicit usage.

Hoof. Any Gibson haters should have a read of this interview.

Does any Boro fan hate Gibson? i think not, not a one.

Does any Boro fan have cause to criticise Gibson........ Plenty.

He has changed significantly in many aspects since 2007. His decision making, backing and leadership was second to none up to Eindhoven. Thereafter, well the facts don’t lie. Since 2016 promotion, he has lurched from crisis to crisis with his poor decisions, lets be honest and not sugarcoat the present, after all, its where we all live. I suggest people revisit the 2017 post Southampton rallying call speech to the fans and then look at what happened thereafter in the interests of balance.

I would love to get the old Steve back, hopefully one day we will

Tend to agree with you there coluka, one of the most important figures ever in the clubs history

I think 'hate' is a big word & totally wrong that at times gets thrown about when Boro fans question his decisions since 2010 onwards
