Seems very strange to view the pressure cooker that is DC from a relatively calm Chicago. I lived in DC for 2 and a half years and it was such a tranquil place (for an American city anyway); to see it as it is now is a travesty. The place is pretty much locked down right now, one of the school buses from the school I used to work at took over 4 hours to drop all the kids off tonight because of the barricades. It sounds more like Londonderry than Washington DC right now.
