After Life - Series 3

4 episodes in, very watchable as the other series were but not quite hit it’s previous heights yet in my opinion.

I watched it. I thought it was still decent enough although the first series was the best.

I read its the last one he's doing so kind of ties everything up nicely. A good mixture or serious and humour. I did 'laugh out loud' a few times and not much on TV these days makes me do that.

Watched 4 last night and the final 2 this morning. Really enjoyed it. One of my favourites series

Slightly disappointed with the series to be honest, however I loved the final episode and there were some good moments in the series but not quite up there with S1 and S2, in my humble opinion.

Watched it over the weekend, agree with others that it was good but not as good as the first two series.
I fell asleep at the start of the last episode as I missed pretty much all of it.

A bit disappointed also / the first two series hit hard and had me in tears and laughter in equal measure. There were only a couple of such scenes in series three. That being said I still enjoyed it.

Finally got round to watching the 3rd series.

I'm not a big RG fan, but I must say, I think After Life is very good.

Would recommend it to anyone and would strongly advise keeping a box of tissues close by.

Gervais is a genius.
To provide great comedy within such desperate sadness takes a very special talent.
We loved it. Shame there's not likely to be another series but then we said that about the Office although I thought After Life was even better.

Gervais is a great comic actor and some the lines he delivers in it are superb. I quite like it but it's not a patch on The Office and I probably preferred Extras (didn't watch Derek). Can't stand Paul Kaye's therapist character though - just seems too over exaggerated to me and spoils the scenes he's in.

The outtakes with Paul Kaye are phenomenal. Absolutely Hilarious.

It was OK - maybe tailed off a bit after the 1st series. It's the right place to leave it now, and I don't think they can get another series out of it. Unnecessarily crude in places, which actually adds nothing. Great characters.

I thought After Life was decent, not quite the masterpiece it’s biggest fans suggest it is, but very watchable with a mix of humour and sadness.

I still think the Office is by far RG’s best work, with Extras being pretty good but not hitting Office heights. Also very honourable mentions for An Idiot Abroad and RG Show.

Not overly fussed either way by his stand up shows I’ve seen (bar some great cutting Oscars clips if they count). Life’s Too Short didn’t stand out and I thought Derek was utter mawkish rubbish, but again there are some that think it was genius. Each to their own!
