Advanced Talks

I assume it is more formal than a couple of phone calls or a chat in a hotel.

Like carried out with a couple of members of the board and the interviewee is asked to give the specifics of how he'll move the club forward. Then the final stages will be his requirements for the number of his assistants, coaches and salary demands etc.

How much he can spend on the company credit card for away trips.

In all seriousness it will be sorting out contract details. The pay, the structure, who he wants as staff, any clauses etc with the lawyers. Make sure both sides are happy with the deal.

Have we skipped a few?
Where's the:

'In-depth talks'
'Exhaustive Talks"
'Extended Talks"

Straight to advanced seems a bit presumptuous...

Anyone that plays front to back....
Route one!
Southgate had fullbacks for midfielders.. Strachan liked to have the two blocks of four..

Wonder if Jamie redknapp is still saying he’s still wants to be a manager one day . Time soon ticks over , retired players shouldn’t stay out of football too long . Obviously redknapps time has passed .

On a cushy number at Sky, why bother with the chew of management?
