Just got this through today from Football Supporters Association - this will apply if you bought train tickets for Hull or Millwall for instance.
ADVANCE RAIL TICKETS ARE NOW BEING REFUNDED!

I’m very happy to say that due to Government intervention all train companies have now been instructed to offer refunds on Advance tickets bought before 23 March but you MUST apply for the refund prior to the departure time of the first train you are booked on.

It is a long and laborious process as you have to complete a refund form for each booking and submit it electronically. Then, if you’ve already collected the tickets or had them delivered, you have to print out a form and send it off, with the tickets to the TOC you bought them from.

Then, with the obvious huge demand and possibly reduced staff, it will take up to 28 days to get the refunds.

They do advise you to send them recorded delivery if they are of significant value and for your own piece of mind I would ensure you have a scan of them in case they do go astray.

Received the initial email last night. Ticket for the Trans Pennine was planned for the 27th April, so have been told to wait for another email so they can get rid of the backlog.

We had tickets booked for Millwall on the Easter weekend and Trainline were only offering to change the tickets to another date within the next 12 weeks, I checked and the prices were ridiculous, so glad they have been made to refund.
