Activities to do like kayaking canoeing in Windermere Bowness.

4 people are going any suggestions?

After some good pub food in Windermere or bowness post activity also. Any suggestions?

I’d suggest gorge walking, get wet, clamber around, have a laugh and behave like kids.

Hike up Scafell Pike

OK if you don't mind the crowds, and it's about an hour away from Windemere

There are loads of other peaks worth climbing that are better eg any of the Langdales, Fairfield, Old Man, Helvellyn via Striding Edge (again might be crowded) etc

When I did it there was hardly anyone doing it. Was a wet day in October mind.

Bowness has loads of good places, couple of good Indians, excellent Thai and Jacksons Bistro all highly recommended. Most pubs offer decent food too, you will be spoilt gor choice

If you stay in the YHA in Windermere with its beautiful grounds you wake up to a lovely view in the mornings

You could visit Sleddale Hall Farm, ask anyone in a tractor if they're the farmer and claim you've gone on holiday by mistake. Visit the Penrith tea rooms for wine and cake
