No quality. No winning mentality. Squad full of gormless, unintelligent players with no backbone. Zero urgency. Sloppy decision making. Just sleepwalking through game going through the motions. Dozy as ****.

Honestly wouldn’t be sad to see the back of any of them. Another long journey home sick as ****.

Carrick has some job on his hands with these losers.
 
Wilder was right in saying far too many been around ages and achieved nothing other than championship mediocrity.

Fry, McNair, Howson for starters. Bottle merchants who will always let us down when it matters.

The best we can hope for is midtable but even that is a pipe dream this season.

Those three need replacing next summer, we won’t be able to do it in January but if we can start with at least one that would be progress.

No ounce of leadership between all three of them.
 
If you’re a rounded, complete player you have quality, effort and mentality in equal measures.

You have to accept that our levels of quality are going to be what they are.. we’re in the Championship.. but what you try and make up for it with leadership, mentality, attitude, graft, endeavour. It gets you through certain circumstances.. like that last 5 minutes.

We don’t have the quality or any of that. Group of spineless ******* that don’t have what it takes in their boots or their heads to be successful.
 
Most teams at our level will have a squad largely similar to ours. People who bulk out the squad and will regularly get 5/10 on player ratings.

The difference is how many 7/10 players you pick up. Just one of those in goal, defence, midfield and attack will virtually guarantee playoff football. Get two or three of those in midfield and you have serious ambition for automatic spots.

We had those positions under Karanka. Dimi, Ayala, Leadbitter and Ramirez. That spine carried us without a truly prolific scorer.

If they’ve all played under a succession of managers, some which have been extremely successful in most of what they’ve done in the game.. then the players are exactly the people to blame.

They’re losers. When that goal went in not one of them asked a single question of their team mates. Shrugged their shoulders, looked to the ground and walked back to their position to kick off again.

Good point regarding the spine of the team - we don't have one with this current squad. Absolutely p*ss weak throughout. But been the same since the Karanka glory years.
We need leaders, b*stards, players who are physical. We are just too weak and easy to roll over.
 
These players are some of the worst I have ever seen in a Boro shirt. They have relegation written all over them. There is no fight in them. They are dross. What on earth was the club thinking of signing such rubbish?

New squad every summer so no continuity, new systems and managers to get used to every season. Best players sold and replaced on the cheap

But yes it’s the players at fault
 
You look at our best 11 and they wouldn't even make the bench in karankas team. They are all bottlers and basically not good enough.

Amborietta is better than this bunch of defenders.
 
If only we had kept some exciting young players. Never mind it was great buisness for the club.
