A very British Coup

the links are not to do with Weimar but I’ll find you something. It was news to me too actually.
Just started reading the first one, god the author is a wordy b***r. Glad to not have to trawl through that to be honest. For example "But do we have to plumb the depths of a Jungian collective subconscious to make sense of Trump as a public phenomenon? "

Well to answer that question, I don't know, what do you mean by Jungian collective subconscious?

That is ridiculous way to write.

It was found at short notice.

it’s almost a PHD study in itself - the rise of Hitler.

I remember my A level History exam with fondness in the 70’s

Something like
6m jews - the key to the rise of Hitler. Discuss?

I did A level history too. It was British political history 1905-39 and European History 1870-1945. It’s amazing how much more we know/opinions have changed since then. Or maybe I was just too young and lazy.

Sounds like a similar syllabus - Bismark up to the end of WW2.
I had a great history teacher and was pretty engaged in the subject - at the time.

I follow her on Twitter and I've had some lovely exchanges over the last few years. I remember she made a comment about one of the irritating Tory Brexit MP's, can't remember if it was Boris, Mogg, Francois or Fabricant and I tweeted 'are you saying everyone thinks he looks daft'? and she :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: back.

She also thanked Weddoes fans for helping to keep her going during some of the long excruciating brexit debates and turmoil in Parliament with their tweets.

Andy Burnham seems to have some good taste too.

'Former Culture Secretary Andy Burnham declared The Stone Roses 1989 debut “the best album ever” when he penned an essay to accompany the record’s 20th anniversary re-release in 2009. '

And here is Burnham and Creasy giving David Gedge a tour of Parliament.

It seems very much as if his role was to delay publication of the Russia Report until after the knighthoods were announced.
