A&S Police investigating Bob Vylan

Announced yesterday they aren't going on tour supporting Gogol Bordello, then announced today 3 shows in Holland all good sized venues (3000, 1500, 1100 capacity)

Good upgrade for them as they'll earn far more through that than they would get in a support slot

Good post from one of the venues too:

Statement about booking Bob Vylan at 013 kz:

On September 16, Bob Vylan is in 013. The energetic duo from London, which mixes punk, hip-hop, grime and hardcore into a groundbreaking sound, would rather come along with another show as a support act, but due to changes in that tour that did not continue. We are happy that they are now coming to Tilburg with their own show.

We are aware that discussion has arisen after their performance at Glastonbury, in which they strongly expressed themselves about the Israeli army and their actions in Gaza. Those words are not ours, but we do think that the situation in Gaza deserves all the attention - structural oppression, war and massive human suffering call for emotion, even on stage.

We do not accept that an act like Bob Vylan, an outspoken punk-rap duo with a long history of political activism, is in danger of being canceled because of words stemming from outrage over a humanitarian disaster.

013 is a pop stage where all kinds of musical movements, sounds and people come together. That also means that sometimes we do not avoid discomfort or friction. We therefore fully agree with the statement of our industry association the VNPF, which states that free artistic expression deserves protection, precisely when it causes friction.

We are not alone in this: Paradiso and Sleeping Beauty also confirm their choice to program Bob Vylan. The threats made towards Paradiso show how vulnerable the space for artistic expression sometimes is. Intimidation should never determine who is allowed on a stage.

Not there, and not here.

Is David Baddiel a member of the IDF?
Would he fire on unarmed starving people that he'd told to gather at a particular spot to get food?

If yes to both, should he feel safe?
Two members of the IDF attending the Tomorrowland festival in Belgium were questioned by Police in relation to alleged war crimes in Gaza.

UK citizens that have joined the IDF should also be questioned to make sure they haven't participated in war crimes.
