A number of EFL clubs request kick off time change for England match

It seems the Luton fans who've replied are not happy that the kickoff time hasn't been changed. Apparently, they're not happy with the clash with England (ie they'd be travelling home when it's taking place) As it's a hassle for them to get to Teesside any other time on Saturday, I presume they wanted a postponement!
They can get stuffed. They knew the kick off time and the World Cup schedule when they bought their tickets, so they’ve nothing to complain about.

I think for away fans or fans who travel far for the games it does need changing to the sunday when nothing else is on. I made a thread about this a few days ago how can no one of forseen this occurring. Football is run by clowns

Could Luton fans stop off at Meadowhall and watch the game there? - its less than 2 hours drive. They can get something to eat too etc

Can people not driving but travelling watch the game on their phone?

Sunday would be a pain for anyone with train tickets booked.

It's a choice for a few, which match to watch. The fixture clash has been a high probability for a long time. The club are doing the right thing.

Just leave it as it is. We've known this was a possibility for a very long time. To change it now just leaves many fans out of pocket, which is not what people need at this time of year when in the middle of a horrendous cost of living crisis.

I wonder if the England game could be shown on the TVs in the concourses or on the big screen in the ground. a few beers and a good day all round. Perhaps a bit late for some to get home though.

I remember watching an international at Feethams either before or after a Darlo game. Can't remember who was playing in either match, apart from Darlo. I think Hodgson was in charge of them at the time.

Bit disappointed that I'll likely be missing Spain v Portugal now, but it's obviously an easy choice when it's not England.

I suspect that's the delay in announcing anything, and was hoping that might the info Rob was privy to. Would be hard to staff it at short notice though.

I'm hoping so too, because my cousin, whom I'm staying at on my trip up to Teesside, will not watch football. Any pub recommendations would be welcome.

Nah Nah I just know that Boro along with all EFL clubs were discussing everything last week as it became more likely England could be playing.
I posed the question on here just in case anyone was looking in.

I went to Bradford v Boro in 86 at Huddst Town's old ground, the same night England were playing Scotland at Wembley, I remember listening to the last few minutes on the coach after the match.

Expect it will knock a few thousand off the crowd, would have been much more sensible to move it back a few hours
