Went off him a bit after his shambolic appearance at Glastonbury years ago. He did however apologise afterwards claiming he was drunk so will give him the benefit of the doubt.

Interesting that - I did wonder why he’d rarely played Glasto. Peel was a god to the Eavis’

Yeah apparently they turned up on site on the Friday (he was due to play on the Sunday) and all their gear had been nicked or lost and he basically ended up slumming it all weekend and was apparently unwilling to turn down anything offered in terms of narcotics....hence the rather shambolic performance.

That said, I absolutely adore the man and his music and I've had this new one on repeat all day. Very good imo, got a feel of some of his earlier stuff (wasn't sure what to expect from the new recordings - folky/country, electronic etc....)
