Yeah he's a great guy, and I'm only pulling his leg because of his initial objection to social media back on the old board. Now he's like King Twitter.

As Indeedido rightly says, Gibson has provided excellent support to Warnock given the times we are in. I have been one of his biggest critics since 2016 promotion to Woodgates reign, but think since he woke up from his nightmare and appointed Warnock, he has revived the Club and its fans and brought a togetherness that was lost a long while back. I salute him for that.

Warnock has highlighted the importance of experience, motivation, honesty, humour and trust in any managerial appointment. The appointment of Woodgate has showed inexperience and coming from Teesside coupled with being a so called fan may not be a good cocktail and, that in future appointments he should scour the entire world, rather than Boro’s PC World.

Well done Mr Gibson, keep up the good work and thank you for your continued support

Spot on, I saw someone (a former poster on this board who is now a Twitter celebrity, despite claiming social media was "for girls and teenagers") complaining because we used Tik Tok to unveil a player.

I posted yesterday on the Transfer deadline thread before we signed anybody that Gibson has provided excellent backing during Covid.
£4m plus to sign Akpom, Morsy and Fisher.
Plus commitments in contracts for Hall, Archer, Watmore and the loans of Bettinelli, Bolasie and Roberts.

To then bring in Mendez Laing and Kebano in addition is excellent backing for Warnock at a time when there is no revenue and Parachute Payments are a distant memory.
Its got nothing to do with using the Ayala/Friend/Clayton/Gestede/Shotton money; there was no money, just not having to spend it any more on them didn't mean it was there to spend on somebody else.

I still scratch my head at the decisions he made from promotion in 2016 through until he turned the corner and appointed Warnock, but there is nothing more can be done about that.

In addition, new contracts for key people like Howson and McNair, as well as contracts for the best of the academy so there's going to be a consistent core of the squad for next two years at least.

I hold my hands up- I have been a critic of Gibbo’s- not without reasons in my opinion! However, I salute him in his continued backing and to make the investments he has is more than credible. Well done, Steve Gibson, you’ve given us hope for the remainder of the season. Must also recognise Neil Warnock who I am sure gently cajoled and influenced Gibbo
